Is Le Perchoir du Quercy an eco-friendly gîte?

Well, there's no such thing as an ecological gîte! However, a gîte can strive to reduce its ecological footprint as much as possible! I've done my utmost to reduce the environmental impact of Le Perchoir du Quercy, from the moment it was built, during its development and since I've been welcoming holidaymakers.

My efforts have been recognised by platforms that put committed hosts in touch with travellers who wish to practise more responsible tourism. These platforms check the environmental commitment of the accommodation they promote. We Go GreenR classified Le Perchoir du Quercy as one of their "exemplary accommodations", and GreenGo gave it an eco-score of 5/5. More recently, the gîte was listed on the Olyslow website.

I'm obviously very pleased with this recognition, but I'd like to go further: in the near future, I'm aiming to obtain an official label, the Green Key label, the first international ecolabel for tourist accommodation. I'm also aware that a commitment to environmental responsibility is a long-term process of continuous improvement. The redesign of my website to reduce its environmental impact is therefore one of my medium-term objectives.

Where can I get the best price?

What payment methods do you accept?

You can pay for your holiday securely on the website by credit card. You can also pay by bank transfer or cheque, but your booking will not be confirmed until payment has been received.

Do I have to pay a tourist tax to stay at Le Perchoir du Quercy?

Yes, in France, in some communes, holidaymakers may have to pay a tourist tax, calculated per person per night. The amount of this tax varies according to the type of accommodation (hotel, furnished accommodation, campsite, etc.) and its classification. The tax is paid to the landlord, hotelier, owner or the professional responsible for online bookings on their behalf. The money collected is then returned to the local authority.Certain people, such as children under the age of 18, are exempt from this tax. As far as Le Perchoir du Quercy is concerned, please note that it has been classified as a "4-star furnished tourist accommodation" by the Cahors Vallée du Lot Tourist Office. The tourist tax must be paid directly to me on the spot. In January 2024 it was €1.95 per night per adult. Please ask me for the amount when you book.

Can I buy a gift card for a stay in your gîte?
